Wow - I've already received some feedback. Maybe this blogsphere really is a happening place....
And it's perfect, because I was looking for an excuse to link to this - an example of how a theatre is using a blog. However, it's seems more for community building and not specifically an example of using a blog in their education programs (well... maybe this one is more relevant in that arena - same author....).
And for what it's worth, I'm going to try to jump on Marnie's Taxonomy Experiment - but I have to figure out how to recursively link to Del.icio.us to link back here.....

Thanks for linking to my theatre blogs.
You're right, they are really about audience outreach and community building.
Here's the concept: people see shows when they feel a connection to a production, either via knowing someone connected to it, or by feeling a connection to the show/subject.
By writing the blog we're letting everyone feel like they have a glimpse backstage, and therefore hope they will feel like they "know" people in every show or feel connected to every production.
So it's about connecting more personally to the audience, even between productions.
